Bio

Polly Jean Harvey (47) is an English musician, composer, song writer and poet.
His career began in 1988 when she joined joined local band Automatic Dlamini as a vocalist, guitarist, and saxophone player. She formed get own trio in 1991 which release two albums: Dry (1992) and Rid of Me (1993). After that she continued her career as a solo artist. She stays the only artist receiving the Mercury Prize twice (2001 and 2011).
Harvey has an expansive contralto vocal range and was noted to dislike repeating her in her music which resulted in some really different sounding albums. She is also know to change her appearance for every album she makes. Harvey herself says she is inspired by blues and jazz music, as well as Russian Folk and Ennio Morricone.
