Colours of Ostrava (or simply Colours) is a multi-everything music festival made each year in Ostrava since 2002. In 2012, the festival was moved to the breathtaking place of Dolní Vítkovice - the former steel plant and the Vítkovice mines. The last, 16th year, offered over 350 programme items on 20 open and covered stages — the Colours of Ostrava was visited by more than 43 000 spectators.
Colours of Ostrava also provides the free Festival v ulicích (Street Festival) in the downtown of Ostrava, the Czech Music Crossroads, a music conference and discussions, first time held in 2015.
Colours is a free and independent event for free and independent musicians and other artists. They don’t go under any specific genre and are eagerly open to showcasing sensitive, dynamic and uplifting projects with a philosophy close to theirs.
